January 11, 2002, Newsletter Issue #45: One Font, Many Faces

Tip of the Week

First, a quick lesson on the difference between a typeFONT (the complete alphabet of any one type face in a given point size including upper case letters, lower case letters, numerals, punctuation marks, etc.) and typeFACE (a single style of type; also designates boldface, lightface, etc.)

Although you`ll generally want to choose one typefont (maybe two!) for your newsletter, you`ll have an assortment of faces to make it interesting to readers. For variety, you can also set it in all capitals or a combination of upper and lower case. Not sure how many choices you have? Take a look at this!
