If you`re ever too busy to discuss major changes (not typos and minor corrections) with the writer on an article, then you`re certainly too busy to do a complete rewrite yourself. As you step into the writer`s shoes, imagine this: You just put everything you had into writing a major expose`, submitted it to the editor, and now you`re waiting to see it in print. You grab a copy to show a friend, check out the byline to see your name, and begin to read. It`s been changed so drastically, you don`t even recognize it! Arrrgggghhhhh!!! You feel horrible and here`s why:
