August 31, 2001, Newsletter Issue #26: *I Am He As You Are He As You Are Me...*

Tip of the Week

It`s easy to figure out where pronouns occur...they show up in the same positions as noun phrases. For example, if you used the noun phrase, "the president of the company," the pronoun "he" could easily be used in its place. "Personal pronouns" are the most common as they refer to persons or things. They include: I, me, we, us, you, he, him, she, her, it, they, and them. (Also, this, that, who, which, and what.")

Can you match your pronouns with your "persons?"
